I’ve developed an allergy
I began itching a few months ago. My legs, my arms, even my chest had welts that came from hives that were developing. I told the doctor. He ignored me, of course. My next appointment I told him I was still itchy. So he did some blood test. I had a UTI, but that doesn’t explain itching. I told him that I think I am allergic to something I am taking. He brushed it off by saying that I was on the medications too long for an allergy to pop up now. Ok, so maybe it’s a sensitivity and not an allergy. Whatever.
The itching got so bad. I couldn’t stand it anymore. So I stopped all my medicines except the diabetes ones. Guess what! Yup, the itching stopped. Almost immediately too. Next week I am going to start taking the Prevacid again and if I start itching, then I’ll know that’s the one. Unfortunately, I have a feeling that’s the one that I am allergic to. I hope I have better news to report next week.
